Emergency contraception
Our empathetic, non judgemental Pharmacists are able to provide you with medication that can prevent conception if there is a risk of pregnancy. To make sure that the medication offered is appropriate, our Pharmacists will ask you some specific, relevant questions to ensure that they have all the information they need to help decide with YOU upon the best form of action. They will then discuss that action with you in our private consulting room if you prefer.
If appropriate, they will suggest you take an oral tablet, that if taken within 72 hours of the unprotected sexual intercourse, will diminish the risk of pregnancy. This tablet is quite well tolerated but our Pharmacists will discuss what you can take and do if they make you feel unwell.
Remember, the key to emergency contraception is haste. If you are unsure whether you need it or not, come in and speak to one our caring Pharmacists.
